Gosh it's been a long, long time since I wrote last. So much has happened. I've started training at the new jobs. Home Care Reception training is done and I actually filled in this morning for a sick call. I'm training at Home Care Dispatch and don't know if I like it yet. I'm training with Judy and she is very, very nice. I'm crossing my fingers that I will like it enough to stay but for right now I'm not sure.
We've been very busy with all the fund raising for the Weekend to End Women's Cancers. I'd say I've almost reached my goal of $2,000.00. It's so close! I don't know if I'll be able to help with Penny's goal like I did last year. We haven't made my total yet. Only after I've met my goal was I able to help Penny with hers. I don't know how much she has to collect yet but I'm thinking it's still pretty substantial.
Jillian is done with her first year of Nursing. She finished her spring semester and seems very happy about it. Jacob finished Grade 9 and is finishing off his exams right now. Earlier in the week he received a medal for the Honor Roll and he also received a Certificate of Excellence for Phys Ed and Science. I was so proud of him. I was unable to attend the awards ceremony due to the fact that I was training with Home Care Dispatch ... insert unhappy face here.
I'll be working like a crazy person for the next little while. Then we are off to Vancouver Island for a little vacation. Once I'm done training I think I'll get a little more excited about it.
